What happens in a session?
The first session usually involves noting your full health history.
The client then lies fully clothed on a treatment table. The practitioner will employ a very light, non-moving touch, generally starting at the feet.
The session is then lead by the client's own body's intelligence.
The therapist is able to notice contractions and restrictions held in the tissues and fluids of the body, and creates a safe space for the release of these conditions.
Many sensations may be felt during a treatment from tingling to heat, cold to fluid, localised re-organising to full body motions, a sensation of bubbles in your body - or you may feel nothing! Each individuals uniqueness makes every session different.
Depending on what the body reveals, the practitioner may then move to another area for more direct contact with the sacrum, or a joint, perhaps the face etc.
Sessions generally last 30-45 minutes.

Benefits of craniosacral therapy
Craniosacral therapy is a great way to lower stress levels and help to increase energy levels.
Clients seek appointments for a wide range of reasons including and not limited to:
Other clients are interested in improving general physical, mental and emotional well-being, and a monthly session to re-tune your system can be very beneficial.
There is no "one treatment fits all". Your treatment will be as individual as you are.
The therapist's touch is trained to 'listen' to the body, much like a psychotherapist or counsellor listens to you, allowing you to feel safe to tell your story. When your body is 'listened' to in this unique way, it will reveal its story too, resulting in relief from pain and/or suffering.
